Reducing meat consumption is one of the most effective things anyone can do to reduce their environmental footprint. Intensive meat production is responsible for deforestation, carbon emissions and water pollution on an epic scale, not to mention contributing to dietary health problems and an impending antibiotics crisis.
In our society it is normal to eat meat every day, but that needs to change.
Part-Time Carnivore is independent, nonprofit and run by volunteers. Our mission is to reduce the consumption of intensively produced meat. We achieve that by enabling people to lead their own Part-Time Carnivore teams within their local communities and organisations.
What you can do
We can help you persuade your friends, families, neighbours or colleagues to eat a less and better meat. As a Part-Time Carnivore Champion you will be provided with resources to help you collect meat-reducing pledges. You will be a Champion for your own team and we will put you in contact with other Champions so that you can collaborate on leading the transition towards fair, healthy and sustainable diets.
